Hand Building 2: Slabs - Thurs Mornings

Service Description

Continue to develop your hand building skills in this intermediate level class! This class will focus entirely on the art of building with clay slabs, and students will slab build a variety of functional everyday items. The class will also touch on surface design with an emphasis in sgraffito. Prerequisite: Students must take a Hand Building class at Cass Ceramics before taking this class. Class meets once per week for 6 weeks and includes all equipment, materials & firing for pieces made in class, as well as free access to open studio hours (Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm and Sundays 10am-4pm). Please note, we do not offer make up classes. Students are encouraged to take advantage of open studio hours to make up any missed classes with some independent practice. Private lessons are also available to currently enrolled students at a discounted rate.
